Courses for credit for professionals

Professional care providers need to continually update their knowledge to best practice within their respective fields and maintain licensure or other state or nationally mandated certification.

Courses for credit can be offered by educational institutions, private organizations, and not-for-profit organizations. These courses offer the opportunity to increase the knowledge and skills necessary to help you help persons at risk for suicide.

The phrase “courses for credit” refers to the ability to use the courses and workshop resources listed for continuing education hours, university credit, or general learning hours. All of the resources listed do not provide university credit hours for the training opportunities offered.

A list of resources is provided to help you find additional information on courses for credit offered locally, at an independent facility, or online.
