National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) Suicide Research Consortium

 

The NIMH Suicide Research Consortium is a program of the NIMH and is comprised primarily of NIMH scientists who administer research grants. The Consortium coordinates program development in suicide research throughout the NIMH, looks for deficient areas in knowledge about suicide, stimulates and monitors research, and disseminates research based information on suicide to the public, media, and policy makers.

Suicide Prevention and Advocacy Network USA, Inc. (SPAN)

 

The SPAN is a U.S. not-for-profit organization that links individuals impacted by suicide with the expertise of leaders in science, business, government and public service to achieve the goal of significantly reducing the national rate of suicide by the year 2010.
