| Suicide
is the 3rd leading cause of death in the United States for young
people ages 15-24. This is a shocking and scary statistic
and gives proof that it is really important to react to information
about a friend, relative, or acquaintance that you think may
be having suicidal thoughts or may be at risk for attempting
suicide. |

on trusting your gut and associated factors are provided with
additional resources to add to your knowledge of what to look
for as a teen who is concerned about suicide among your peers
as well as adults in your community. |

| What
to do to help as a Teen |
| Knowing
what to do when you are worried about the suicidal thoughts
and behaviors of someone is important in order to move quickly
and get the help that you and they need. Find information
and resources on the importance of listening and responding
honestly, not keeping secrets, taking a risk, and talking with
a responsible adult. |

education is available for a Teen |
| Sometimes
you may not be concerned about someone else specifically, but
you want to learn more about suicide and about what you can
do to help prevent suicide in your community and beyond.
We offer information and resources about educational opportunities
and examples of teen awareness, training, and suicide prevention
services. |

researchers are doing to impact Teens |
| Research
is usually not the first thing on your mind when you are looking
for information on suicide prevention, but you will be surprised
to find that research on suicide and suicide prevention is extremely
important and can help you to learn more about suicide and stay
on top of recent findings in relation to suicide and suicide
prevention. |
