Tips for getting the best results from the Online Guide

Use the following tips to get the most from your request of the Online Guide. Make sure to include:

  • Your specific intermediary or helping role
  • Specific age, ethnicity, risks or associated factors for which you are seeking information about suicide prevention
  • Type of resource that you are seeking.  Resource types include: books, articles, media, Web sites, or screening tools
  • Any limiters with respect to the “publishing dates” of the resource, examples are “articles between 1998-2003” or “no book published before 1995”
  • Any other specific information that will help the Online Guide to tailor the resource information to your needs

Please limit the scope of your requests to suicide prevention related topics and make use of the powerful search tools before contacting the Online Guide.
