Courses for credit can be offered by educational institutions, private organizations, and not-for-profit organizations. These courses offer the opportunity to increase the knowledge and skills necessary to help you help persons at risk for suicide.
The phrase “courses for credit” refers to the ability to use the courses and workshop resources listed for continuing education hours, university credit, or general learning hours. All of the resources listed do not provide university credit hours for the training opportunities offered. This page

Australian Institute of Family Studies
The Australian Institute of Family Studies is a not for profit organization that began with the Australian Family Law Act in 1975. The Commonwealth Government officially established the Australian Institute of Family Studies in February 1980 to promote the identification and understanding of factors affecting marital and family stability in Australia.
Courses and workshops on suicide prevention are available through the Australian Institute for Suicide Research and Prevention and LifeForce Network in association with the Australian Institute of Family Studies.
