| Introduction | ||
|
Employers can provide helpful educational resources for their employees by distributing materials, offering training, providing information about support services, and offering therapeutic information as needed.
It is very likely that at some point, you will work with an employee who is impacted by suicide. As an employer, you must be knowledgeable about suicide in order to maintain a safe, productive, and supportive working environment.
Education in the fields of suicide and suicide prevention can help employers to have a greater understanding of suicide as well as the impact of suicide on family, communities, states, countries, and the world. Enhanced education using tools like books, online educational tools, courses, and suicide prevention organizations can help employers to meet the needs of their employees in relation to suicide as well as advocate for suicide prevention efforts. |
