| Introduction | ||
|
Knowing about the latest research including current clinical trials can give family members additional suicide prevention resources and increasingly accurate information on how things like families, individual family members, risk factors, and protective factors impact or are impacted by suicide.
While research is often not the first area investigated by family members, it can be an invaluable tool providing current information and the ability to advocate for new and innovative research in the areas of suicide and suicide prevention. New research is published every year, month, and nearly every day. Consequently, what we know about suicide and suicide prevention constantly evolves and changes. In order to best understand suicide and suicide prevention, it is essential to update your knowledge base with current research information. |
