Question #1

Does this Web site offer information or services to people in crisis?

This Web site is not intended for persons who are experiencing a suicide crisis. The PSN is geared toward people who are helping people in crisis, people who are impacted by individuals who are suicidal, people who are in positions to give suicide prevention information and resources to those in need, and survivors of suicide.

If you are in crisis, call 1 800 SUICIDE or 911 immediately. You can also access a listing of crisis hotlines at: http://ries.contineotech.com/ries/centerSearch.do

Question #2

What is a Tailored Search?

A tailored search is a way to find information from the National Library of Medicine using words and/or phrases that are based on research for their association with suicide and suicide prevention as well as based on trials that will guarantee information for every term listed.

A tailored search is a way to help you to find the most appropriate resources and information that you need.
