Finding funding and grant information can be a tedious and timely proposition.   A listing of resources is available on the Internet to help you pursue funding for a suicide prevention initiative.

Resources

Electronic, print, and multimedia resources are provided to help you to find authoritative information on Grants and RFPs focussed on suicide and suicide prevention. These resources are available from such national organizations as The National Institute of Mental Health as well as professional organizations, not-for-profit organizations, and educational institutions.

National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH)

 

The NIMH is the primary National Institute of Health organization for research on suicide and suicide prevention.   The NIMH provides information about numerous grants and research related resources.

American Association of Suicidology (AAS)

 

The AAS is a not for profit organization dedicated to the understanding and prevention of suicide. The AAS Web site is designed as a resource for anyone concerned about suicide, including AAS members, suicide researchers, therapists, prevention specialists, survivors of suicide, and people who are themselves in crisis.
