What education is available for Parents

Introduction

As a parent, finding the appropriate resources for reputable and substantive information on suicide prevention can be difficult.

Suicide impacts young people world wide and is a significant concern for parents.   The fear and concern of suicide impacting your family directly or indirectly requires the ability to find fast and targeted information and resources.

Schools are often the first institutions visited or asked for information on factors associated with suicide, like depression, and suicide prevention.   While schools can be a valuable resource, not all educational institutions have appropriate, diverse, and applicable resources for you.

The stigma of suicide can make it very difficult on a parent to find information and resources.   This Web site can help you when you are unable to find the suicide prevention information and resources that you need within your community.

Resources

Provided are internal links to easily locate information that applies to parents and What education is available.   You will find numerous educational resources, like courses and publications, as well as suicide prevention organizations that can be sources of additional educational tools and information.
