Children's Safety Network (CSN)

 

The CSN is a not-for-profit organization that works with maternal and child health (MCH), public health, and other injury prevention practitioners to provide technical assistance and information, facilitate the implementation and evaluation of injury prevention programs, and conduct analytical and policy activities that improve injury and violence prevention.

 

CSN provides a listing of publications developed by the CSN and organized by topic area. The CSN publication listing is available at the following Web address:

Harvard Injury Control Research Center (HICRC)

 

The HICRC is a university-affiliated organization located in the School of Public Health at Harvard University and partially funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The focus of the HICRC is on the interdisciplinary study of the causes and etiology of injury and its application for the development and evaluation of prevention and intervention strategies and policy. The HICRC attempts to accomplish this goal through teaching, training, and advocacy.

National Academies Press (NAP)

 

The NAP is an educational institution developed by The National Academies to publish the reports issued by the National Academy of Sciences, the National Academy of Engineering, the Institute of Medicine, and the National Research Council, all operating under a charter granted by the Congress of the United States. The NAP publishes over 200 books a year on a wide range of topics in science, engineering, and health.

National Center for Suicide Prevention Training (NCSPT)

 

The NCSPT is a not-for-profit organization providing educational resources to help public officials, service providers, and community-based coalitions develop effective suicide prevention programs and policies. The NCSPT is a collaborative project among the Education Development Center, Inc., The Harvard Injury Control Research Center, and the Northeast Injury Prevention Network.
