Publications

The number of publication resources available on the subject of suicide and suicide prevention can be overwhelming and difficult to navigate. Several books, journal articles, multimedia and Internet sites are noted to help you to access reputable and significant resources quickly:

 

This is not an exhaustive list, but is instead a sample of recommended and comprehensive resources to help you learn, understand, communicate, and process information about suicide and suicide prevention.

 

Health care and suicidology experts have contributed to and reviewed published resources.

The AAS is a not for profit organization dedicated to the understanding and prevention of suicide. The Web site is designed as a resource for anyone concerned about suicide, including AAS members, suicide researchers, therapists, prevention specialists, survivors of suicide, and persons who are themselves in crisis.
