Suicide Hotlines

There are a number of reputable suicide hotline resources available on the Internet.  Suicide hotlines offer crisis counseling for persons who are suicidal and provide support and information for persons helping individuals at risk for suicide.  

You may find suicide hotlines particularly helpful during times of a difficult emergency or crisis situation.

 
Resources

Electronic and multimedia resources are provided to help you to find authoritative information on suicide hotlines. These resources are available from such national organizations as The National Institute of Mental Health as well as professional organizations, not-for-profit organizations, and educational institutions.

CONTACT USA

 

The CONTACT USA Web site was originally developed in association with the United Methodist Church in the United States. Today there is a network of CONTACT USA centers in over 20 states across the US offering crisis intervention and telephone help-lines.

National Hopeline Network: Referral Information Evaluation System

 

The National Hopeline Network is a U.S. Web site developed by the Kristin Brooks Foundation and recognized by David Satcher, former Surgeon General of the U.S., as the national crisis hotline network, providing resources for crisis services in the U.S., Canada, England, and Singapore.
