Conducting Tailored Search
Locate tailored resources in two related, but distinct ways on this Web site by searching as a Non-Registered Visitor or as a Registered Member.

Perform a Tailored Search as a Non-Registered Visitor

Specific suicide prevention information can be accessed from the National Library of Medicine (NLM) databases by first accessing the Tailored Search Page. Using this page to identify a specific role or factors associated with suicide prevention, offers an efficient, user-friendly and customizable way to locate reliable resources outside of this Web site.

Results from the searches are clearly displayed for printing, or linking to a particular resource. There is no limit to the number of times that a tailored search can be performed and it is absolutely free.

Perform a Tailored Search as a Registered Member

Searching as a Registered Member also offers the tailored search tools described above, but also offers the added bonuses of:

  • Saving your “search preferences” so that resources from the NLM databases can be located even more efficiently
  • Receiving regular updates about additions to the NLM databases

Registering with the Web site is free and involves completing a user profile to help the search tool accurately perform searches on your behalf.
